Stripping of shipwrecks, vessels and maritime installations by Hoondert Services & Decommissioning BV is done with the latest environmental and safety views in mind and according to all current rules and regulations. That is why we prefer to use the term stripping, rather than demolishing. Hoondert drew up special operating procedures, which are completely in conformity with the IMO guidelines. All resulting streams are transported to recognised end processors. As far as possible, materials and machine parts are reused. A closed mass balance is drawn up for each stripped object. This provides insight into the whole stripping process and each stream is accounted for.
